Efie Gallery in Dubai presents the Middle East debut of renowned African art master Abdoulaye Konaté in his first major solo exhibition in the region.
Running from 10 October 2024 to 6 January 2025, this landmark exhibition will feature an extraordinary 9-meter work inspired by the final track of Malian musician Ali Farka Touré’s iconic album, celebrating the profound ties between culture and land. Through the monumental scale of this vibrant piece, Konaté pays homage to the agricultural traditions evoked in the song while drawing insightful parallels between Bedouin and West African heritage, reflecting his ongoing exploration of cultural interconnectedness.
