The exhibition offers a powerful reflection on how art preserves, reinterprets, and reimagines memory—linking past and present while envisioning new futures.

The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) is proud to participate as an Exhibition Partner at the inaugural edition of Art Week Riyadh. Organised by the Visual Arts Commission of the Ministry of Culture, this non-commercial initiative highlights Saudi Arabia’s vibrant art scene across key venues, including JAX District and Al Mousa Center, under the theme At The Edge.

As part of Collections in Dialogue at JAX District, Ithra presents “Landscape and Memory”, a curated selection of 15 works from its museum collection, on view from April 6 to May 31, 2025. From the early 1900s to 2022, the exhibition explores memory, transformation, and identity through diverse media—sculpture, painting, and installation—by regional and international artists.
Featured artists include Mohammed Alfaraj, Maha Malluh, Gregory Mahoney, Do Ho Suh, Moath Aloufi, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Joumana Medlej, Sultan bin Fahad, Abdul Rahman Katanani, Hazem Harb, and Moataz Nasr.
