Saudi Arabia highlighted its vibrant literary and cultural landscape at the London Book Fair 2025, held from March 11 to 13.
Led by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, the Saudi pavilion offered visitors an immersive cultural experience, highlighting the Kingdom’s contributions to literature, arts, and heritage. Several key cultural institutions also participated, including the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language, the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives, the King Abdulaziz Public Library, the King Fahad National Library and the Publishing Association.

The event provided Saudi publishers, writers, and cultural organisations a platform to engage with international counterparts, fostering discussions on literary exchange, translation, and publishing opportunities.
Meanwhile, the Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) and Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) reinforced the UAE’s growing global presence in the publishing industry with a strong presence at the fair. The UAE delegation emphasized its commitment to cultural exchange by promoting the works of Emirati and Arab writers and strengthening partnerships with international publishers.

The Arabs Publishing Pavilion attracted literature enthusiasts with a carefully curated selection of Arabic works translated into English, offering a deeper insight into Arab literary traditions. The pavilion also served as a hub for networking and collaboration, facilitating meetings between Emirati publishers and their international counterparts to explore new publishing and translation ventures.
The London Book Fair 2025 once again proved to be a vital platform for literary professionals, offering Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other Arab nations the opportunity to expand their global reach, share their cultural narratives, and strengthen international literary ties.
