Caravel Magazine accepts poetry, fiction, nonfiction, essays, interviews, and reviews for its special print edition funded by Arts Council England and focuses on Arab British literature.
We aim to provide as many publishing opportunities as possible for new, emerging and established writers.

SUBMITTING TO Caravel
Caravel’s print magazine welcomes:
*Short fiction and flash/micro fiction
*Nonfiction: memoir, literary journalism, reviews, interviews, poetry and more
*Original artwork: photographs, illustrations, paintings, etc.
Submissions should align with the designated theme.
Caravel Magazine respects writers’ rights—contributors retain full copyright ownership of their work. By submitting, you grant us first publication rights. After publication, all rights revert to you, though we request acknowledgement if republished. The magazine reserves the right to use submitted materials, reproduce them in new formats, and edit, publish, or translate them. We may also archive work on our website and use it in promotions (e.g., social media, newsletters, anthologies) with full credit.
GUIDELINES
*All submitted work must be your own.
*All submissions will be considered for both our print and online editions.
*We only publish original, unpublished work. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please withdraw your piece if accepted elsewhere.
*For translated works, the author or translator must confirm that they have permission to publish the piece and clarify copyright ownership in their submission.
*We have no strict word limits, but most submissions range from 400 to 1,000 words.
*Please do not submit academic essays or reviews.
*submissions are open exclusively to London-based contributors.
*Contributors will receive a fee of £130–£150 for published work, regardless of length or style.
*Please only submit work written in English.
