Saleh Nemr was born in Dêrik, Hasakah Province, Syria, and studied sculpture at the Institute of Applied Arts in Damascus. Currently based in Germany, Nemr has built a distinguished career as both an artist and educator.
In 2002, he was awarded 2nd prize at the Third Youth Exhibition in Syria, a recognition that highlighted his emerging talent. Alongside his artistic practice, Nemr taught fine arts and art history at the Technical Institute of Applied Arts in Damascus in 2006, where he contributed to the development of new generations of artists.
He has also produced a series of outdoor public art pieces, including one artwork that he generously donated to his local council. His works have been exhibited in both solo and group shows internationally, reflecting his growing influence on the global art scene
